A Primary Injection Kit is a high-performance electrical testing system designed for the testing, commissioning, maintenance, and calibration of current transformers (CTs), circuit breakers, busbars, protective relays, and other high-current electrical equipment. It generates a controlled high-current output by injecting current directly into the primary side of the equipment under test, allowing engineers to verify the performance, accuracy, and operational integrity of electrical protection systems under real operating conditions.
Primary Injection Kits are widely used in power generation plants, electrical substations, industrial manufacturing facilities, utility networks, renewable energy installations, and transmission and distribution systems. They are essential tools for preventive maintenance and acceptance testing, helping to ensure that electrical protection devices operate accurately and safely while minimizing the risk of equipment failure and unplanned downtime.
The kit features a robust variable current output with smooth and precise adjustment, enabling users to perform a wide range of high-current tests with exceptional accuracy. Built-in digital metering provides real-time measurement of output current and voltage, ensuring reliable and repeatable test results. Most systems are equipped with thermal overload protection, overcurrent protection, and emergency stop functions to provide maximum operator safety during testing.
Designed for ease of operation, the Primary Injection Kit incorporates a durable enclosure, intuitive controls, and heavy-duty output terminals suitable for demanding field conditions. Its compact yet rugged construction allows for convenient transportation between testing locations while maintaining high performance and reliability. Depending on the application, the kit can be configured with various current output ranges and optional accessories to meet specific testing requirements.
The Primary Injection Kit supports a variety of testing applications, including circuit breaker trip testing, CT ratio verification, relay pickup and timing tests, busbar current testing, switchgear commissioning, and verification of protective schemes.
Whether used during new equipment commissioning, routine preventive maintenance, or fault diagnosis, the Primary Injection Kit provides a dependable and efficient solution for high-current testing applications. Its combination of precision, safety, durability, and operational flexibility makes it an indispensable instrument for electrical testing professionals responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of modern power systems.
