Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Quality Control (QC) to lead our quality assurance and quality control functions at our Chennai facility. The ideal candidate should have 10 12 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and possess strong leadership, analytical, and quality systems knowledge.
Job Title: Head Quality Control (QC)
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Salary Range: 50,000 60,000 per month
Experience: 10 to 12 Years
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Relevant discipline)
Shift Timing: General Shift
Designation: Head QC
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the QC department to ensure product and process quality standards are met.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes.
Oversee inspection of incoming, in-process, and final products.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
Lead internal and external audits; coordinate with certification bodies and customers.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Collaborate with production, design, and supplier teams for quality improvement.
Train and mentor QC team members.
Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
Maintain and manage all QC documentation and records.
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, TS 16949, etc.)
In-depth understanding of quality tools: 7 QC Tools, FMEA, CAPA, PPAP, SPC, MSA.
Experience with ERP systems and quality reporting tools.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to handle customer complaints and implement quick resolutions.
Familiarity with calibration, inspection equipment, and measurement systems.
