NDT UV Black Lights - Magkraftndt
No reviews yet
The NDT black light, more specifically the UV-A lamp, is really a must-have equipment in non-destructive testing. It is used to examine the magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspections. The gadget radiates the long-wave ultraviolet light with a specific wavelength of 365nm. This light is not visible to the human eye, but it makes the fluorescent substances very brightly visible.
During the inspection, the surface being tested is covered with inks or magnetic particles that are mixed with fluorescent dyes. The inspection under the black light in the darkroom reveals that any imperfection such as a crack, leak or discontinuity which has taken up the material is glowing with a bright greenish-yellow light. The glow is very bright thus ensuring that the inspector can even detect the tiniest and closest flaws with great precision and surely.
The black lights for the professionals are made to be very powerful and they are reliable in terms of delivering consistent UV-A output in the entire area of inspection, while following the standards like ASTM E3022. They come strong and easy to move around and can have the filtered to bounce off harmful UV-B/C light. This pivotal piece of equipment gives the results that are trustworthy along with the repeatability which in turn factors into flaw detection being quicker and more conclusive thus the highest safety and quality control standards in such industries as aerospace, welding, and automotive manufacturing being maintained.
